Childhood Anxiety - Ways we can help.
So many children are struggling with sleep, anxiety and the worry of going to school. We are seeing more and more requests to let children go in the float pods.
Being in the water naturally brings a calm, the gentle change of the lights and the soft sounds of the waves make such a relaxing environment. Here at Mederi we are happy to discuss floating your child should you wish to give it ago and give them a break from the weight of the world and disconnect from devices. Email us here to discuss further.
We had a boy age 10 who hadn’t slept more than 5 hours a night for a couple of years due to being scared of dying, he fell asleep within 10 minutes of being in the pod and that night he slept in his own bed until the morning. Imagine how his behaviour changed with a full nights sleep, no longer irritable and parents that could sleep themselves for a full night in their own beds together?
I floated with Levi when I was in the third trimester 6.5 years ago, so imagine my sheer joy when I realised it was Levi’s first float outside of the womb in the October half term.
Levi looked at the warm blue water and decided it was time for him to give it ago. Levi is very in tune with his body for a 6 year old and likes cold water, he likes to be bare foot and loves to sauna when he has a chesty cough. For some time he has been having quite restless sleeps and often wakes in the night after quite intense dreams.
He treated himself to 10 minutes in the infrared sauna and then managed about 40 minutes in the float...
Levi was so peaceful and it gave him some respite from his tinnitus, he slept with much less talking. Take a look at how I helped Levi to float here and how peaceful he was in the tank.
