Over 30s and Over Scheduled?

I don’t know if its just me but sometimes there is just too much to juggle… Do you find this too?

The weight of finances, children, elderly parents, looking after my own health and those around me, remembering everything in the school emails. Then there is responding in time to friends and family so I don’t look as if I am just completely ignoring them.

These persistent thoughts that go through our minds often go on to create a chronic stress, let alone adding the noise of technology and social media on top of this. Constant connection and not feeling like we are ‘off-line’ can keep us in fight or flight mode.

Tension can build up and then we experience bouts of poor sleep, tight shoulders and in my case a tight jaw from grinding. It is so important to look at our lifestyles to ensure we can improve our tolerance during stressful situations.

Going back to basics can be the easiest way to cope with the constant life and work juggling. We can aim to look at lifestyle changes like better nutrition, less or no alcohol, a look at how we may be ingesting chemical toxins in the house, movement and mindfulness.

When I privately work with clients 121 i recommend they try substituting morning caffeine for a hot water with lemon, enjoying more time outside without a phone and spending sometime focusing on breathing functionally (its believed 85% of us are breathing in a compromised way - mouth and upper chest). These small positive tasks can lead to making great habits. Book a treatment with me here
