3 Ways To Boost Your Mood This Holiday Season…
Are you ready to feel calm and rested for this holiday season?
Juggling work, organising everything for those few days off at the end of December and then getting yourself ready to be sociable over Christmas can sometimes feel a bit draining.
Here at Mederi we’ve thought of 3 ways to get your prepared and ready for the festive season.
1. Build Your Tolerance With Better Sleep: By getting yourself in tip top shape as soon as pain symptoms start to appear you can make sure you feel well and tolerant. When sleep is impaired it can make you feel quite irritable, but by alleviating poor sleep you will feel resilient to the hustle and bustle around you.
You can minimise symptoms of pain by enjoying a very quick 30 minute session in our infrared sauna, keep the heat for the rest of your day and enjoy a cleansing shower in the evening to take all the toxins off. If decide you can dedicate 60 minutes to yourself in December then come and see us for a restorative float. Popping past us in Garsington? drop in for a quick 15 minute body scan with our Chair Dr and get a tailored massage in super quick time.
2. Shop Small and Local if possible: We went to the Sunnyhill Vineyard in Horspath on Saturday and it was such a joy to see local indies selling beautiful handmade gifts. If i’m honest I purchased more than I sold but I got such satisfaction that I had put some money into local peoples pockets instead of the biggies that I shall not name. If you go to Independent Oxford – Celebrating Independent Businesses in Oxford! you will find over 150 small local businesses to purchase from.
If you know of a friend or family member that needs some space to themselves to rest and feel comfortable head to our voucher section where you can vouchers starting from as little as £15. Find Gift Cards Here
3. Reduce The Pressure: Remember to enjoy the next few weeks if you can, we have become quite focused on everything being perfect. I always imagine the bits I loved so much as a child, the watching of Christmas films, not getting out of my PJs for the day, playing Jenga and scrabble with the whole family and sharing snacks together.
Can we reduce the pressure we put on ourselves?
Christmas is for connection, conversations we’ve not had in a while with someone we love, extended hugs, PJs don’t have to match. Christmas films and naps on the sofa, walking in the fields or the woods and breathing in the winter air.
We don’t have to over indulge, we can make that one special gift really count and make our loved one smile. We can repurpose the recycling and make unwrapping the presents even more fun... kids always love a box and that's because they've got their imaginations still - Where's your imagination gone and can you find it again?
Connecting with each other and ourselves really should be a top priority going into 2025 along with our health and happiness…
What would you add to the list?
Love
