Wellness Trends for 2024 - More Community Led?
Looking back on 2023 and what we experienced with our regular clients, we have made some predictions on what “wellness” and “wellbeing” might look like over the coming months of 2024.
1, More Togetherness.
We saw an increase of people visiting us with a friend or friends; spending a longer time enjoying our services together.
Since covid, which created quite a lonely period of time we are really pleased to see, that this way of sharing relaxation and working together to improve overall health in on the rise!
We know that feelings of loneliness can inadvertently make us feel unwell, by sharing space with someone and having meaningful conversations we can ensure we fill those selfcare cups.
Booking the Twin Float is a brilliant way of finding peace and a moment of calm with a friend. Being able to then reflect on the treatment you’ve just had in our relaxation room with a herbal tea allows you to delve deeper into that experience. The sauna is also available for two to three friends should you want to heal with heat and pass the time with a chat!
Perhaps, thinking about our health as a collective and by experiencing more therapies and treatments as a community wide idea, we can heal together?
With this in mind we’ve gone with our instinct on the community and workshops element and will be hosting a number of events over the coming months.
To be in the know sign up to our newsletter or check in to the Events page monthly for more details.
2, Contrast Therapy. The desire for hot and cold therapies is increasaing and I get asked this regularly at Mederi “when are we getting an ice bath?” Personally I only want cold therapy to be used when there is someone professionally trained on site and with that in mind we launched the Fire and Ice event in February!
We are really excited to share the news that the Fire and Ice- Wim Hof fundamentals with Katie Millet sold out! After discussing with her this morning we have opened up another slot from 12pm on 5th Feb to secure your space Click here
During the workshop you will do 20 minutes of breathwork followed by 2 minutes in the ice bath, time spent in the infrared saunas and then another cold dip if you would like.
3, Breathwork & Stress Resilience.
We meet so many clients that are struggling with stress and sleep issues so the move to ensuring we become more stress resilent is key for 2024!
Consciously breathing and letting go of long held tension is going to be a big element of this. Often when we are in periods of stress the tension builds up and we begin to breathe in our chests. This type of shallow breathing makes it hard for the oxygen to get round to our vital organs.
With this in mind we are looking to begin guided meditations online, starting monthly to begin with. The meditations will be about 15 minutes long which is enough time to get us to into a more relaxed mood, sending us off into a good sleep.
We would love to hear from you in the comments, what do you think will be most important for health and wellbeing this year?
